House System

All the students of the school have been kept in four main houses. Houses are named after the major rivers of India, which have been kept with the aim of awakening the spirit of Indian culture in the students, as well as what is the role of rivers in life at present. To explain this, the students’ houses have been named after the rivers Ganga, Godavari, Jhelum, and Sarayu.

  • GANGA

    Color: Blue

    Description:The River Ganges (also referred to as Ganga) is a symbol of faith, hope, culture and sanity, as well as a source of livelihood. She is the centre of social and religious tradition in the Indian subcontinent.

  • GODAVARI

    Color: Green

    Symbol: Representing
    “jyoti” , a glowing light, and the representation of offering oblation

    Description:Godavari River, a “jyoti” , a glowing light, and the representation of offering oblation, called “Arghyam”, to Surya, the Sun god.

  • JHELUM

    Color: Purple

    Vitasta in the Rigveda and Hydaspes

    Description:The river Jhelum is called Vitasta in the Rigveda and Hydaspes by the ancient Greeks. It is one of the many transcendental rivers flowing through the land of Bharata.

  • SARAYU

    Color:Orange

    Symbol: Representing
    Ved and Ramayan

    Description:The Sarayu River is mentioned in ancient Hindu scriptures such as the Ved and Ramayan. It is one of the seven tributaries of the river Gaṅgā and considered for that it washes away impurities .
